Just a little step-by-step of my afternoon routine.
First, get all the "materials" out and prepped.
Second, ice the area good and long. This little trick helps it hurt just a little less.
Third, alcohol swab the area and let dry.
Fourth, pinch and poke.
Fifth, hold the gauze on the site until it's done bleeding.
Sixth, pull up my pants and carry on with my day like it's totally normal to inject nun pee into my body daily.
Today I got to get 2 needles because it was a blood work day. I do have to say, over the past 3 years, I have gotten WAY better with needles. My husband used to have to give me my shot everyday. There was a day there was just no way he could have been home to do the shot (because you have to do it at the same time every day), and I was forced to give myself the shot. It slowly built up my confidence, and now, I do my shot every day. Pretty proud of myself if I do say so myself.
Happy Good Friday. I for one, am incredibly grateful for the sacrifice made by my Savior so that I can live for eternity with Him, and my children that have beat me there.
