Oh Fall!

It's no secret that fall is my favorite season. It is just so beautiful. Here are some pics from our trip to the southerntier last weekend. It was a little bit of heaven!
The couple we traveled so far to see! Tash and Jae

And the cutest little (big) girl in the southerntier, Jaina!

Excuse my mouth full of food! This is on the horse drawn carriage ride.

The view from the ski lifts, I think that is us from a distance.

One of the gorgeous buildings at this resort.

Just a little harvest decor!

Another lodge at this resort.

This was my most favorite view. Breathtaking!

Aren't the colors just gorgeous!?

I love this man!

It's Friday

I know I said my next post would have pictures from our trip last saturday, but I just haven't had time to put them on my computer just yet. The camera is actually still sitting on my end table in my great room. My husband is working nights this weekend, so I know I will have time to do it this weekend. I always welcome things to keep me busy while he is working nights.

Tonight my husband and I are going to dinner and a movie. We got a gift card to our favorite restaurant - Delmonico's- when we let Obeo take photo's of our home. So, we really only have to pay for our movie, which is great! We are going to see Fireproof with Kirk Cameron. He is Anthony's favorite. I am excited to see the movie. It's about firemen and their lives, so I am sure I will relate to it someway. I love dates with my husband. We try to go once a week, but it doesn't always happen with our schedules.

Saturday I am going home to my mom's for birthday dinner for my sister-in-law. She turned 27 on Wednesday. I can't wait to see my family, and especially my nephew. Lately, he has no interest in Aunt Heather when Uncle Tony is around. He is enthralled with him and being a fireman. When I call to talk to him, he always asks for Uncle Tony, and refuses to talk to me. My brother even lied and told him I was a firewoman. Nope. Didn't fool him. He only will talk to firemen. Brat! He is so funny though. The other day he called to tell us that mommy set the grill on fire, and Uncle Tony needed to quick come and put it out. Apparently, she was cooking sausage and the grease dripped down and cause some flames to grow bigger. Elijah thought the grill caught on fire and quickly yelled "call Uncle Tony quick!" So cute. Though apparently he's disowned me. Maybe Saturday while I am there without the famous uncle, I will actually get some love. Here's a pic of the two buddies, joined at the hip:
Here's a few of Elijah in his hero fireman getup:

Ok, I am done for now. Hope to get some pictures up here on Sunday of our trip to Jamestown. Have a great Friday everyone!

so 3 months might be a little long...

Ok, so it's been a really long time since I've blogged. Every time I think to write about something, my pictures are on another computer, or I just don't have the ambition, or creativity to be able to sit down and write so it makes sense. Lots has been going on since I last wrote. Summer is now over, but that is more than ok with me. I LOVE the fall. It's my favorite season. I love the cool days, the changing of the leaves, the back to school feeling. Every year around this time I get the itch to return to school and get my masters. Good thing it's just an itch! I quickly remember that I barely have enough "me" time as it is, and with homework and classes, I would kiss that time goodbye. so I itch it and move on.

For about the last 4 and a half weeks my husband has been in a lot of pain in his upper back, neck area. After many chiropractic adjustments, and a few visits to the dr, he finally got an MRI last week. We went in to see the dr. yesterday morning. It turns out he has disc degenerative disease. It sounds worse than it is. Apparently, 80% of Americans have it, it just isn't painful to everyone. Well, he now has to go to physical therapy and learn how to minimize flare ups. Hopefully, he can return to work in the next few weeks. Good thing for firemen, they get as much paid time off as they need when they are injured!

I have been busy decorating and putting some finishing touches on the house the past few months. We are almost finished with everything on the first floor, and just have a few things we want to do to the rooms on the second floor. This winter we will be working on the basement, carpet, electrical outlets, drywall, and paint. We aren't totally finishing it just yet, but since drywall and electrical won't be too expensive, we figured we might as well do it now so the kids have somewhere to play.

You can go to faber homes website and look on the virtual tours, and if you type in either our address or the type of house (marcell), you can see some of our decor. the clock on the wall we made, and the tapestry over the couch we made. I am working on the decor over my kitchen cabinets. I just finished the plates, now I am waiting to find the perfect strand of cranberry beads to loop in my glass vase I bought. I can't wait for the finished product. http://http//homesite.obeo.com/viewer/default.aspx?tourid=497118&refURL=http://www.faberhomes.com/index.cfm?method=OurCommunities.ModelDetail&CommunityID=2&modelID=39&InventoryHomesID=0&locale=en-US (try this)

Last but not least, we are going to our great friend's house on saturday down in the southerntier. Jaina is already 3 months old, and I can't believe I haven't seen her in over 6 weeks! We are going to spend the day at Peek 'n Peak Resort. They have a fall festival going on and we will get to ride the ski lift to look at the fall foulage, and ride in horse drawn buggy rides. I am so excited I can't even stand it. I feel like this week is dragging I am so elated about Saturday. Can you tell how much I love the fall now?!

Ok, so now that this has been all over the place, I am done. I will try to post pics of our trip on Saturday as soon as I can. Hope everyone is enjoying this season. I know I am!

Ghost Town

This week at work has pretty much sucked. There are little to no children here, Becca and Lydia are both off (the source of my continuous amusement and laughter here at work), so life around here is pretty boring. The phones aren't even ringing! There's an eerie silence in the halls, and it's pretty quiet in the daycare even. I always thought this was a pointless week to be open. We should close, and get it automatically paid for. Great idea Heather!

So, any suggestion as to what to do when you are so bored at work you could almost cross the line to insanity?

Long Time Coming...

Our Honeymoon...

We went to Siesta Key for our honeymoon. It was gorgeous down there. It's off of the Gulf Coast near Sarasota FL. We loved it so much, we want to make it a tradition to return every year. Maybe not the same time every year, but we want to make it down there every year.

Without stating the obvious, our honeymoon consisted of us sleeping in until around 11am each morning. Waking up and making our own breakfast in our condo. Getting into our bathing suits, lathering up with SPF 50 sunscreen, and heading to the beach. We would lay at the beach until around 4 every day, return to the condo, shower and get ready for dinner, then head up to Rt. 41 and find a restaurant that looked good and enticed us. We ate THE best food ever on our honeymoon. My mouth still waters when I think of the dinner we ate at Sharky's one night. It was on Venice beach. I say anyone who goes to Sarasota, HAS to fine Venice Beach and eat there. You will never be the same....steak, crab legs, fresh vegatable, mashed potatoes, corn bread...mmmmm, I am so hungry right now! Anyways, after dinner we would site see a little on the different islands, return to our pretty much private beach, set up our blanket and watch the sun set. We would walk along the shore and just enjoyed the beauty that God creates EVERY single night. It was amazing. We ended our nights with some homeade ice cream from a shop near our condo and then head to bed. It was so delightful. If I could relive any moments in my life over, it would be the ones from my vows to the end of my honeymoon. They felt like they were right from a fairytale! Here are some pics from our honeymoon:

I'm a Mrs!

Well, I was recently told I never blog anymore by a friend who apparently wasn't aware I just finished building a house, planning a wedding, and getting married, then a honeymoon. It takes a little bit of time to do all that....so here I am...blogging...and all those things are done.

My wedding was beautiful. Everything worked out so perfectly. It was so smooth, I wasn't nervous at all, except for the fact that a bunch of people I didn't really know were about to stare at me for about 1 minute straight as I walked down the aisle in a big dress!!! My groom was standing at the end of the aisle, huge smile and looking so fine. I just wanted it to be vow time, forget the words before and the words after, I don't even know how much I actually heard. I just kept staring at Anthony, and grinning and mesmorized by my soon to be husband. We mouthed things back and forth, it was everything I could have ever imagined and more. Everyone who took part in our wedding we were so thankful for. They all made it the special day that it was. The reception looked beautiful and was so much fun, though I didn't get to dance as much as I would have liked because my headache was screaming for me to stop bouncing around....when we got home Anthony and I decided we would open the presents and cards first. Anthony got into shorts and a tshirt, and I decided I wanted to keep my dress on for a little while longer. I plopped down in the center of our great room and Anthony passed me cards and presents and we both had so much fun! I wish I had a picture of that moment. We had brunch with his family on Sunday morning and finished at his old house packing and cleaning. Monday morning we got to leave for our honeymoon. We went to Siesta Key in Florida. It was gorgeous there. The water was so blue-green. The sand was white and felt like baby powder. It was so wonderful. We slept in everyday and went to the beach and layed around. We ate like kings and queens! It was the most amazing time of my life, and I got to spend it with the most amazing person in my life. I don't have any pics of my honeymoon just yet on this computer, but I'll post those later. For now, here are a few of my wedding....courtesy of everyone whose already posted before me...

I am so in love!

Just a quick update...

...because that is all i have time for. We finished the house and I moved in April 12th. It's beautiful, wonderful, amazing, and SOOO much to clean. I just love it though. I can't wait to share it with my husband. WHich brings me to my next big thing, in TWO weeks I will no longer be single. The wedding is a long time coming. We are both so excited, but at the same time, so ready for it. Like we've been waiting for it all our lives. I absolutely am in love with my soon to be husband. He is the most incredible man i have ever met. He is funny and charming, he is chilvarous and kind, he is loving and noble. He's everything I ever wanted in a man, and more. I can't wait to share the rest of my life with him, and grow old together. That will be a site. I've had a fwe showers given by great family and friends. They were such a blast, and so incredible that people would do that for me. We got fun stuff for the house and for the wedding night :o)Well, here are a few pictures, but I prolly won't be posting again until after my honeymoon.

some of my family over for mothers day

Yeah, I thought I had more pictures of the house with furniture, etc, but I can't find them. I will have to post those later. For now, here are some pics from the Lilac festival 2008:

My favorite pic from this year

Yeah, sorry. It's getting late and I just can't find the pictures I thought I would on here. I will post more later...or at least try. The next time I post, I will be a Mrs.!!!
